One closed open pit mine in clear view from the top. Active logging. I was passed by seven loaded logging trucks today. ie Active logging road equal danger for small cars. Hill is overrun by racers for about half of the season. The hill is owned by a group of loggers and they only see a tree as any good if it is a stump. A second open pit mine is approved on the hill used by people for tobogganing. Whistler has cheaper three day rates with an edge card. There are some good steeps but this hill has fallen so far behind others in BC it thinks it is in front. |

Most sun in BC, which means not much snow. Best trail grooming in BC. 60 cm at Apex is better than 120 cm at Big White. |

What an awesome week we spent at Apex. Skis WAY bigger than it looks. My legs are still burning from Make My Day. Stayed at the Saddleback Lodge. Great people, great accommodation and great skiing!!! |
