Snowshoe is passing itself off as a destination resort but is not up to par with traditional NEngland locations or the Rocky Mtn resorts. Very limited food options. Signage is mediocre on the mountain. Best in the South: definitely, but INTRAWEST should know better than to live with quality of restaurants and on-mountain trail maintenance. Snow is not their fault and snowmaking is good. This resort is worth visiting if you can stay at least 3 nights--but the challenges in getting there make a shorter trip not worth it. There is a lot of room for improvement in amenities--this place would be abandoned if a Whistler, Elkhorn or Vail-like village was next door. |

Great place to snowboarding and skiing. 60 trails including silver creek which is a short free bus ride away |

The snow rated a 4 from me because we were there in the spring and the snow was somewhat slushy. |
