Click to report rating    1/16/11   4     5     5     4     5   With a base at 7100 feet, this usually has the best snow in Oregon. The road to the ski area is well maintained and rocked and easy to traverse if you have at least a front wheel drive vehicle. Snow tires are highly recommended. Extremely friendly staff and even on Saturdays there is rarely a more than a one minute wait to get on the lift. The food is quite good and reasonably priced. There are ski resorts with longer runs but this is one of my favorite places to ski. It's a little out of the way (Northeast Oregon) but definitely worth a visit.  RID: 184

Click to report rating    1/2/10   3     5     5     2     5   A great little ski area. Terrain for everyone, just limited amounts. 7000 base elavation provides for more powedr days than most Oregon resorts. Less overall snowfall than Cascade resorts but much better quality snow. Service is excellent as this is a small friendly place. Amenities are limited. Value is one of the best anywhere with many special offers. Check the website for specials. This is a remote location with lodging 30 minutes to an hour away depending on road conditions. Steep long narrow winding road to resort so bring tire chains just in case. Great group area as all trails meet back at the base lodge. This is the best value I have found in Oregon and worth trying at least once. They have snow cat skiing check website for availability. Lodging in nearby towns is standard motels and is reasonable.  RID: 162
