The best snow and runs are up high -- Chairs 6, E, and Imperial, and the T-bar. Runs down low tend to be "snoozer cruisers" and crowded. Difficulty ratings on runs are such that "blacks" at Breck seem similar to "blues" at most other resorts we've skied at. "Sevens" restaurant at the base of Peak 7 gave us terrible service. We called from the hill at lunch -- they gave us a reservation for 12:30. We arrived to be told that they would not be honoring our reservation -- we would have to return at 1:00. When questioned, the hostess told us her manager had told her she could not take reservations for anything before 1:00, so she called us back and left that message. We checked -- no message was left on our cell phone; just a "missed call" recorded. We left, never to return. On the other hand, we have had excellent food and service at Spencers, in Beaver Run, at the base of Peaks 9 and 10. And Spencers is very reasonably priced!
