We have skied Keystone in 2007, 2009, and 2010. It seems to get less snow than neighbouring Arapahoe Basin and Breckenridge, so weh have found the runs to have more "scrape" with less powder. The last day we were there it was so windy they had to shut the gondola down. Mid-day, we were near the top of the River Run chair and noticed that only some of the chairs were full -- many chairs only had two or three people on them. Since there were some good runs on that side, we skied down anticipating little in the way of a lift line-up. Wrong!! The lifties were not loading the chairs -- the lift lineup was about 45 minutes. We took off our skies, hiked through the village to the shuttle bus, and caught it to the base of Peru chair. I have noticed before, at Vail, Breckenridge, and Keystone, that Vail Resorts do not seem to "train" or "supervise" their lifties as well as other resorts such as those in Banff Alberta.
Was there 2-07.Awsome resort. great trails. no lift lines. beutiful scenery.we went to vail for one day and left by lunch time it was crouded and snobby. we could not wait to get back to keystone. night skiing was really cool. we will be returning 2-10.
